Tips for your vacation
Not to be missed in Corvara
Alta Badia is a must-see, both in summer and winter. Do you want tips for your holiday in Corvara? Then read on...
Let's start with Sellaronda. This name is attributed to the spectacular skiing around the Sella, which leads through four Dolomite passes and connects the four Ladin valleys of Gardena, Alta Badia, Arabba and Fassa. This circular tour, along a total of 40 kilometres, can be completed in one day. In the summer, the renowned trail is also an attraction for hikers.
We continue the famous Giro della Grande Guerra. The heart of this tour, which can be reached by skiing or on foot, is the Col de Lana, a symbol of WWI, around which the 80 km itinerary runs. The silent companions of this adventure are Sella, Marmolada, Civetta, Cinque Torri, Tofane, Lagazuoi, Cunturines and Sassongher. Along the way, you will encounter testimonies of the Great War, such as finds from the war period, trenches, patrol paths and fortresses.
Bike riders love the Maratona dles Dolomites, a cycling race on the road, which leads to the conquest of a total of eight Dolomite passes and, attracts about 9,000 enthusiasts in South Tyrol each year. Finally, don’t forget the Sellaronda Bike Day, a day pedalling around the Sella massif. Between the 70-kilometre-long stretches, with a height of 1,800 metres, we find the Sella, Gardena, Pordoi and Campolongo passes.
